Safe and secure broadband is important to all of us. Bruse expands the fiber network and offers the best TV and entertainment solutions in Hallingdal, Norway. In addition, they supply EV charging systems and solar panels for both the home, the cabin and the business community.

Challenge
To develop a memorable name, build a strong story around it, and develop a distinctive logo along with a cohesive visual identity.
Solution
We developed the brand's strategic platform, its name, and designed a visual identity – bringing the brand to life in a compelling and cohesive way.
Central to the Bruse brand are the word's reliability, security and welfare technology. The core is human warmth and technology that brings us closer together.
The name Bruse is a strong Norwegian name with associations to energy and power in multiple ways. Rooted in nature, it is constantly changing and never static – almost as if you can hear the word. It conveys both speed and excitement, while also feeling warm and approachable. The name creates opportunities for powerful storytelling, linking raw, natural energy to concrete and tangible products.
The shape of the logo is inspired by the landscape and surroundings. Hallingdal, one of the major valleys in Eastern Norway, is shaped like a U – a classic U-shaped valley, formed by the forces of nature over thousands of years. Similarly, the "U" in the name stands in the center as a symbol of solidity, belonging, and the natural forces that shape us. It represents both the deep roots in Hallingdal and the ability to create connections – just as the valley brings together landscapes, people, and opportunities.
The strength of the logo lies in the contrast between its round, soft shapes and sharp, clean cuts. Circles play a key role in the design, serving as focal points that convey lightness and a subtle twinkle in the eye. This balance creates a sense of warmth and belonging while maintaining a forward-thinking approach. Simple and intuitive illustrations enhance product understanding and elevate the user experience.

The colour palette draws inspiration from the traditional Hallingdal traditional costume, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. The deep, vibrant hues found in the embroidery and textiles – such as deep reds, sunny orange, bright and pale pinks, midnight blue and pale green – all connecting the brand to its local roots while adding warmth, authenticity, and a sense of tradition. These colours not only honor Hallingdal’s history but also create a visually striking and recognizable identity.

It's almost as if you can hear the word. The name is filled with energy and power. It comes from nature, is constantly evolving, and never stands still.
The strong name and visual identity seamlessly extend into all the other elements and touchpoints, ensuring brand recognition across platforms. The thoughtfully designed colour palette infuses the landing page with energy and freshness, reinforcing the brand’s dynamic and forward-thinking approach.

We have also developed a logo version, slogan, app icon, landing page and illustrations for the Bruse LADE (EV charger service) and Bruse SOL (solar energy).
For Bruse LADE (EV charger service) we have, in addition to the logo version, illustrations and landing page, developed a tagline: "Smart lading. Helt enkelt". The slogan gives the customer a promise about what the product can do. It doesn't get smarter and simpler than this.
